Italy which is one the major countries in the world the Somalis fleeing from the hostility in their country reach, after long
adventure in the past years are facing staid humanitarian situation in Italy.
The Somali start their journey from home, pass several countries in Africa such as Ethiopia, Sudan, Libya and eventually to Italy,
but those who reach Italy are those who are safe from the desert between Libya and Sudan and as well the Mediterranean sea between
Libya and Italy.
The government of Italy is not providing the basic human needs to the Somalis in their country, and are living in a poor
humanitarian situation, and they cannot cross to the other countries in Europe where they would have got better living because, the
government of Italy has taken fingerprints from these people which will not allow them to live in any other country in Europe
because of the prints on their fingers.
“When you see the life standard of these Somalis in Italy you will instantaneously say that they better be killed by mortars back
there at home, because the Somali youngsters in some cities in Italy live in big filthy halls and sleep in 20s and sleep on old
beds thrown out by the Italians, and if you chat with them they will tell you that they are living in dogs life, and nobody is
looking for their rights, and no single organization is giving them humanitarian assistance” said Bashir Jilal a journalists who is
among the youngsters living in Italy
“I am facing great life challenges here I am living in abject life, and my parents back at home think that I am now in part of
Europe and they are asking me for money which I cannot give them they are really crying for the moon, I myself my parents sold a
plot for me in order I to reach Italy” said youngster who has shortened his name as Mahdi.
“Myself I am among the youngsters who are living in Italy and I am hereby confessing that we are living in a very bad condition,
the other communities here in Italy have advocates who stand for their right, but we don’t have one, if you go round in some of the
cities in Italy your eyes will glimpse Somali youths desperately sleeping under the walls of the big buildings, and some having
bottles of wine in hand, and if you ask them why they are taking the wine they will tell you that there killing the frustration
upon them” said Bashir Jilaal a journalist in Italy.
However the problems which the Somali youths are facing in Italy cannot be compile in a draft, but Somalis in every part of the
world should extend hand to their suffering brothers in the other part of the world.
