The aid presented to Yemen from the international community for Somali refugees is still limited, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr
al-Qirbi has said.
Al-Qirbi said, during his meeting with the special envoy of the UN secretary general for Somalia Ahmed Wald Abdullah, the
international assistance to Yemen is less than what is supposed to be in the lights of the circumstances Yemen faces due to the
repercussions of the global financial crisis.
Yemen is really keen on cooperate with the UN for the interests of Somalia, he said.
The international community, adjacent and Arab States should play their significant roles to reinstate security and stability to
Somalia, FM asserted.
Al-Qirbi praised the work of the UN official towards peace in Somalia.
A UN official has appreciated Yemen's efforts to bring peace and security to Somalia.
Al-Qirbi discussed with Abdullah efforts to bolster security in Somali and the latest developments in the Horn of Africa.
